The Beginning
In my house there was a paint shop. Give a kid a place to express themselves and there will be investigating the squirt, brushes, easels. It was a place with few "no", which could stain clothes, hands, stay late, and be with happy people, doing what I wanted, listening to talk with passion. Santa Catalina was a forest in Lomas de Zamora, ideal to go to work in group, and there he was, running through the trees, playing hidden tunnels investigating caves and secret passages that roamed the lonely station until I got bored ... - Mom, I can paint? "Of course, support the piece of cardboard into a tree, take Tomá brushes palette takes a rag, take oils, take a Tachito with turpentine and take a mate and you're great." Ha! "So I started painting.
The Masters
In my old workshop (Mara Menéndez) with Ruben taught Soriente, they were my first teachers because I was always running around between the stands and listened to the concepts of paint then try to implement in my drawings. There were many years of live models, sketches and sketch the human figure, hundreds of crumpled papers, filed rolls filled with charcoal and some also hung between laburos setting out. In that group was Claudio Scheffer, who then took a teacher and friend, was the kid of the group, quilombero, which ate the still lifes that were a model, explosive with color and the "market" as it tells the oil when I asked to put more than stingy. His painting moves me. I worked with him after the color, revealing the figures on the spot and not on the line, letting the fabric "say" to go to. The group sessions began at 6 am at home with bills and mate and ended very late, within four months from the roast and stained clothing to Pollok, leaving huge canvases populated witness musicians, trumpets and mopped dotted bandoneones dumps stained and full of Tom Waits, Muddy Waters, Astor Piazzolla ...
The Tango
Aoniken, a cultural center founded by my old friends, where did all the workshops that I liked singing, yoga, weaving, pottery, literature, theater, bandoneon, tango. That I liked, tango. And I started to dance a lot, we formed the group "citrotango" so we called him because we were with the teacher (the Indian) and having a citroen Pablito, a capital to dance in the streets and passing the hat and then go to the milongas. So I started dancing, he was 17. Then I took classes with Gloria and Eduardo first and Pepito Avellaneda and Zusuky later. With Johnny did a great friendship, we went on "rotation" to the milongas, for me it was an honor to sit at your table and even better when I took out dancing, ended without knowing what he had done but with the certainty of having done well and a heart full of enjoyment, it was a pleasure to take you to the belly and you say "chick, you dance!" When I fell in love with the milongas of Buenos Aires, the night of tango. I went alone to dance and look look look! Years later, when I set out in the Tasso had the pleasure of meeting many artists of the tango, including Ruben Juarez, Rodolfo Mederos, Horacio Ferrer, Liliana Herrero, the trio Gorosito Cataldi De La Vega, Susana Rinaldi, people I admire a lot and well today I have a beautiful friendship with some of themselves. The tango I got a lot from his eyes, enjoying every table, every color, every scene. And in the time to paint ... what paint? The milonga, dancers, musicians, waiters, bars, lovers, night, checkerboard floors, the bandoneon, the tenements, the hallways ... without trying I found myself painting tango Tango Tango!
Expos
My first solo exhibition was at the home of tango in San Telmo, in 2001, I was sooo nervous that I forgot to invite people around you learn hahaha ... Also that year I gave in Entre Rios, at the Hotel Quirinale, where he finished dancing with the orchestra presented that night, painting and dance, a mixture perfect. In 2002 I did an exhibition at La Casa de la Cultura de Alte. Adrogué Brown. Arming it was two months, a huge lounge where they came about 50 paintings and a theater where 100 people came to see a play about the painting and tango to write and act with a girlfriend (Natasha Lozano), where musicians were also making Jazztango, dance, live painting, and whatnot ... feelings, a mix of everything. Was beautiful and exciting. In 2003 I left photos of works in various places and they called me from Torquato Tasso (San Telmo), which were expounded and permanent works to this day (by changing the expo, bringing new things), Art Gallery of Leonardo Da Vinci (Cap. Fed) where I set out for two months and the Homer Café, where I exhibited for two years. Also that year I presented a box of 1.20 x 1.50 on the day Teatro ND Ateneo National Team that played and sang Tango Ruben Juarez the picture was "The national team, which saw all musicians from the spot, as I learned with Claudio, a little informality added to my painting is more realistic, the darkness of tango with the brightness of the stage. It is one of the jobs that I like along with "Winter Castle", "Dream," "Creatures of the Night" among others ... In 2007 I attended the Night Galery made in Las Lomitas (Lomas de Zamora) And I exhibit at the Centro Cultural Torquato Tasso (Defensa 1575 - San Telmo) Now prepare to play a expo, big pictures of bands, dancers, bars, milongas and tango dancers, well, that scene passionate, dark, and dotted with stories that is the tango.
